The Office Manager will be responsible for managing all of the office and database needs of Felidae Conservation Fund and be part of a team to grow and achieve the organization’s research goals. The Office Manager will also provide correspondence and support for the organization’s staff and volunteers and maintain the wildlife image database.

We are seeking an AI/ML specialist to configure Machine Learning (Bayesian, Artificial Intelligence, Amazon Rekognition, SageMaker, TensorFlow, etc) software to process wilderness camera imagery, for animal population research. 

Identifying humans, mountain lions and other creatures captured by motion detection cameras, on mountain trails, is central to our ecosystem research and conservation efforts. The cameras generate large quantities of video and still imagery, but the manual process of categorizing is very time consuming. We would like assistance with (any) software to recognize animal types and false positives, in the sorting process. 

We are seeking an experienced ArcGIS practitioner to help with research and outreach maps using our large dataset. ArcGIS 10 is set-up on our main computer and can be accessed either in person at our office or remotely utilizing TeamViewer. We also use ArcGIS online version.

Seeking an excellent graphic designer to join our team to assist on projects such as brochures, booklets, stickers, t-shirts, and other informational and promotional materials. We are redoing our materials so this is a great opportunity to add to your portfolio.

Volunteer to assist with managing and regularly posting on our social media accounts. Help us raise awareness about native wild cat species conservation through various platforms such as twitter, instagram, facebook, LI, YouTube, Tiktok, Pinterest, etc. If you are social media savvy and have a passion for wildlife conservation, we need you! 

If you like hiking and wildlife this is a great volunteer opportunity for you. We need a field technician or citizen scientist to assist in managing and maintaining our large remote sensing wildlife camera network in the SF Bay Area. Previous experience with wildlife cameras and with data work is a plus. We need a very organized person who is passionate about being in nature and helping to protect the important native species of the Bay Area. 

Seeking experienced grant writer to assist with grant writing and sourcing grants.
Ideal person is an excellent writer, with knowledge of wildlife issues, research and non profits, as well as the ability to disseminate details into digestible and compelling proposals for funding and support at multiple $ levels.

Felidae is seeking volunteers to assist with entering remote trail camera data remotely from your own computer.

We request that those interested be available at least once per week for 4 hours. Data entry involves using a specialized, but simple, Database program to enter data for images and videos collected from remote cameras deployed throughout the greater Bay Area.

Data entered will be utilized in multiple scientific analyses for wildlife in the Bay Area and in presentations and reports available to the public. Great opportunity for adults and students seeking volunteer opportunities. Remote training required.

We are seeking an organized and reliable database administrator to handle the day to day operations of our current and soon to be launched cloud database, including data entry, training new volunteers, cleaning data, maintaining the database system and conducting backups. The data we collect are wildlife images and video that feeds our research and education work. This can mostly be a remote role, with occasional office visits to work with the office computers and physical database system.

If you are passionate about wildlife and biodiversity then we would love to hear from you. Please only reach out if you are willing to commit to 12 months of volunteering. Hours are flexible and the role requires approx. 30 hours per month, depending on skill level.

We are seeking someone to assist with research for our scientists, and outreach team. We are looking for someone who is tech savvy, a good writer, interested in wildlife conservation, organized and motivated. This is a virtual position.

Website maintenance and updates needed - general website updates, some occasional changes and maintenance of content. We need to update content on 2 sites weekly and more significant content changes monthly. 10-15 hours/mo. for experienced website designer, for varied website maintenance tasks and content/image/video posting assistance.

Full stack front end developer experienced with building mobile applications. Senior developer preferred. Remote position.
