Namibia Private Guided Conservation Safari 2024, with exclusive Behind The Scenes Access at Okonjima

Okonjima Nature Reserve - Etosha East - Etosha South - Palmwag - Erongo Mountains - 13 Days / 12 Nights

Detailed Itinerary

We are excited to present our 2024 Conservation Safari with Destination:Wildlife. The itinerary includes the home of AfriCat, where you will experience a behind-the-scenes look at their conservation work, and the Palmwag Conservancy, where you will trek black rhinos on foot with The Rhino Trust and meet with members of the Namibian Lion Trust.

Along the way, you will spend four days exploring Etosha National Park, including the waterhole at Okaukuejo, one of our favorite places and famous for its night-time wildlife. Every animal has its own conservation story and each impacts the entire ecosystem, as we watch, we will learn their status and other details from our guide.

The tour lasts 13 days and 12 nights. You will experience some of Africa’s most spectacular andunique landscapes, see iconic African wildlife, and visit important conservation organizations. All while supporting the Felidae Conservation Fund.

Why This Tour is Special

Conservation Heroes of Namibia, A chance to go behind the scenes with researchers and biologists from the AfriCat Foundation, dedicated to the long-term conservation of Namibia’s large carnivores in their natural habitat. Later, meet with a representative from the Namibian Lion Trust after trekking endangered black rhino on foot in Palmwag.

Cats x 5. The potential to see Namibia’s five wild cat species - lion, leopard, cheetah, caracal, and serval - in the wild.

Only 6 Guests. The group is limited to only 6 guests, making for an exclusive and intimate safari, providing time to interact with researchers and local guides; flexibility in the schedule to take advantage of serendipitous sightings; and a chance to make new friends within the group.

“The White Place.” Etosha roughly translates to “White Place.” The lime and salt of Etosha’s pans create a white shimmering landscape unlike any of Africa’s other great game reserves.

Impact. Your tour directly supports the work of Felidae Conservation Fund and important conservation organizations in Africa. An incredible journey that does good on two fronts.
