Julia Fischer

Julia Fischer is a lover and enthusiastic voice of aromatic plants with 20 years experience teaching and practicing Aromatherapy. Her emphasis on aromatic chemistry is key to understanding the pharmacology of essential oils. Her classes and trainings across the u.s. have covered all aspects of Aromatherapy, from the chemical to the alchemical, and have been hugely empowering for anyone interested in Aromatherapeutics and health independence. To promote Aromatherapy, Julia has been interviewed on KPFA, authored numerous articles, and is included in several books on complementary medicine. She is a certified Aromatherapist (cat!).

Julia has also been working in the natural foods industry since 1985 as a bodycare and nutrition consultant, and is dedicated to guiding individuals to heal themselves with natural modalities. She has pressed manufacturers to green their products and packaging before our current and urgent eco-trend. Living lightly on the planet is a practice she is committed to, both personally and through example, inspiring people, often with humor, to take the green path whenever they can.

Julia has been a volunteer at Wildcare Wildlife Rehabilitation Hospital in San Rafael, CA since 2005. Her love of the animal world began in early childhood but the Buddhist concept of right livelihood has brought her to Felidae.
